The SARS COVID-19 pandemic that has affected the entire world scenario in recent months by forcing governments to impose restrictions and measures of social distancing has also affected the world of pediatric surgery.
The assets of our Operational Unit have undergone a significant slowdown, as did teaching, with an interruption of the frontal lessons and master’s sessions.
In order to ensure the correct performance of these activities, which are an important part of our mission, thanks to the foresight of our director, we have equipped ourselves with telematic platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
These systems have allowed us not only to carry out the sessions of the exams of the Faculty of Medicine and Chiruriga and the Masters, but also to create discussions and virtual round tables on various topics of pediatric surgery involving the directors of other Italian centers and which take place every 14 days.
